Ioto Iotov is the Managing Partner and founder of Main Set. Before joining Main Set, he was an investment partner at Capricorn Capital Partners UK where he originated, diligenced, invested in and managed investments in technology companies. Before this, Ioto was an investor at AfricInvest, where he made investments in financial services and technology companies. Ioto has worked at Barclays (VP in Investment Management and as a quantitative analyst). He began his career at KPMG, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

Ioto received a Bachelor of Accounting and Honours in Accounting from The University of Johannesburg and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He has earned the CFA and CAIA charters.

Dominique Swan is the Value Creation Lead at Main Set. Before joining Main Set, she was a strategic advisor to a Family Office and the founder of a tech startup. Dominiques prior experience includes working as a Director leading Deloittes Ventures Team at Deloitte UK, and as a strategy consultant. Dominique started her career at PwC, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

Dominque holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Honours in Finance from the University of Cape Town, as well as an Honours in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Philipp Deutsch is an advisor on machine learning and analytics to the team at Main Set. In addition to this, he is a Director and Head of Data Science at Capricorn Capital Partners UK, where he applies machine learning and data solutions to the investment and portfolio optimisation processes. Before this, Philipp was an Analytics Consultant at OC&C Strategy Consultants, delivering analytics projects for provate equity and corporate clients. He began his career at Deloitte in Vienna at their Financial Services Advisory practice.

Philipp received a BSc in Physics from the Vienna University of Technology as well as an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Vienna.

Ivan Wong is an Associate on the investment team at Main Set. Before joining Main Set, Ivan was a specialist at Vanguard’s Index desk, working alongside equity traders and portfolio managers on index trading and analytics. Before that, Ivan was an analyst/ trader at Rockpool Capital in Hong Kong, where he covered both public (equity and fixed income) and private (early-stage) investments.

Ivan received an MSc in Data Science and a BSc in Economics from the University of Bath.

Robert Gottlieb is the CEO and a partner of Capricorn Capital Partners U.K. Before joining Capricorn in 2011, he was the CEO of the European Wealth Management business of Investec Bank based in London. At Capricorn, he is responsible for the overall strategy of its private equity activities and management of investments in Capricorn’s financial services and technology businesses.

Rob has both accounting and law degrees from the University of Cape Town as well as a postgraduate qualification in treasury management (with distinction) from the University of South Africa.
